Sequencing of Human Genome in 24 Hours – 2 DNA Sequencers that Make It Possible!
Unlike those days when DNA sequencing was first introduced, getting a full sequence of human genome could take years to complete. Now, we are glad to know that human genome sequencing can be completed in a day – 24 hours. Thanks to two well-known DNA testing companies, Illumina Inc. and Life Technologies Corp, had recently launched their respective DNA sequencing device – HiSeq 2500 and Ion Proton Sequencer.
Good news for medical industry – and also for all of us, diagnosis involving DNA testing and sequencing procedures can be done faster, and it can possibly help one to identify and combat a particular chronic disease.
