Can A DNA Test Be Done While Pregnant?
![]()
This is a common question for a pregnant woman who wants to have paternity test. Certainly, there are risks to have DNA testing when it is done prenatally because it involves invasive procedures like chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis.
In other words, either these procedures involving inserting a needle into the women’s womb and extract the amniotic fluid around the unborn baby. This requires an experienced gynecologist to perform these test.
I personally suggest it’s better to perform paternity DNA testing after the baby is born. The most important thing is to have a safe childbirth.
